Responsibilities

OVERVIEW: 
 

The incumbent in this position is responsible for maintaining the grounds of the entire property; informs management of landscaping issues, maintains the appearance and cleanliness of the property providing preventative maintenance of grounds. Responsible for the seasonal upkeep of exterior grounds and maintaining the hardscape of the property. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.  
  • Assists Facilities workers regarding preventative maintenance and the proper cleaning and safe operation of equipment.  
  • Clean, maintain and remove trash from parking lot and entrances. 
    Power wash exterior surfaces 
  • Monitor irrigation systems and outdoor lighting. 
  • Assists in the maintenance and watering of flower beds, plant areas, planters, and hanging baskets. 
  • Shovel, clear or apply snow melt to entrance areas and walkways.  
  • Operates Mule and other light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris.  
  • Maintains building and grounds appearance to company standards.  
  • Attends and participates in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned. 
  • Performs work regularly and predictably.  
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis) 

 

  • This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED.  
  • Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Provincial, and Gaming/Lottery regulations. 
  • Drivers of company vehicles must have a valid driver’s license and meet the requirements/standards listed on the Motor Vehicle Permit Application provided by Hard Rock.  
  • Must successfully pass background check. 
  • Must successfully pass drug screening. 
  • Must be nineteen (19) years of age. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

 

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods. 
  • Capable of operating a motor vehicle safely under various weather conditions. 

 

 

Working Conditions: 

 

Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a highly regulated and controlled environment, but there will be times when you will need to be on the Casino Floor to complete job functions as outlined or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.
