Responsibilities

  • Attends all events and promotions while providing excellent customer service to guests
  • Brainstorms and assists in the creation of new events and promotions
  • Responsible for creating fact sheets, formats, and rules for events
  • Handles all event registration needs, organizes guest packets, program needs, and maintains tournament slips and score sheets
  • Collaborates with internal departments as well as outside vendors for all event requests, such as décor, gift giveaways, audio/visual, food & beverage, entertainment etc.
  • Responsible for requesting event and promotional signage and collateral from the creative design team
  • Helps to maintain the programming for the casino floor kiosk promotions and offers
  • Verifies player identification and distributes proper prizes to appropriate individual after obtaining required signatures
  • Ensures all guest questions and concerns are addressed immediately, either personally, or by contacting the appropriate management member to resolve
  • Responsible for the completion of event and promotional paperwork, ensuring compliance with audit procedures
  • Obtain pricing and secure items for events from vendors and partners
  • Coordinate load in, production and event time lines with clients, operations and external vendors
  • Ensure all marketing materials and advertisements are prepared for the events and are on brand
  • Update and maintain details on Function Agreements as well as any internal databases, riders, group logs and event calendars
  • Follow through on all deposits and vendor payments as outlined in the contract and close out files with Accounts Payable
  • Assists Database Manager with duties as assigned
  • Assists with social media programming and communications
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • One to two (1-2) years previous experience working in a Special Events/Catering capacity for a luxury Casino/Hotel
  • Proven expertise with F&B and Event execution
  • Background in music industry a plus

SKILLS

  • Genuine enthusiasm and aptitude for hospitality
  • Professional demeanor and attire
  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing (fluency in both official languages preferred)
  • Demonstrates strong problem solving skills through ability to diagnose and implement solutions
  • Effective project and time management skills
  • Ability to work and contribute in a team environment under tight deadlines.  Additionally, must be able to work independently with little supervision
  • Proficient computer skills with the Microsoft suite of products, Bally’s CMS and some graphics
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to be present at events

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • The working conditions are those typically found in an indoor, climate controlled office environment. Will be exposed to casino related factors including but not limited to excessive noise, large crowds and stress related to servicing guests in a high pressure and fast paced environment
  • Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as dictated by events
  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to excessive noise and constant exposure to general public

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to walk distances.
  • The employee must frequently lift/push/pull and/or move up to 50 pounds.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a highly regulated and controlled environment, but there will be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor to complete job functions as outlined or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.
